Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole child of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee in a manufacturing plant. Sharon was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was considered to be an academically talented child when she began in the second grade at age five. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She was also a contestant at Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, which she won Miss Crawford County. Stone, along with her aunt, in 1977 relocated into New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week later. After that, she moved back to Europe and spent the entire year living in Milan in Italy and Paris. However, Stone became disillusioned with the world of modeling within Europe which led her to pursue acting while in the country. The film of Woody Allen, "Stardust Memories", was a mixed success at the age of 20.
